The Challenge

For language students, true fluency is forged through consistent, independent practice outside of the classroom. Kalba.lt, a leading provider of language courses, identified a critical gap in their traditional learning model:

  • Inconsistent Practice & Skill Fade: Voluntary homework often lacked engagement and real-time feedback, resulting in practice completion rates falling and leading to inconsistent progress between lessons. Students struggled to find safe, accessible, and context-aware opportunities to practice speaking 24/7.
  • Unsustainable Teacher Workload: Teachers were manually burdened with spending approximately 6 hours per week creating or curating supplementary exercises, limiting their capacity for high-value in-class instruction and personalized student attention.
  • Lack of Personalization at Scale: The one-size-fits-all nature of traditional homework failed to adapt to the individual strengths and weaknesses of each learner.

KALBA needed a dynamic, scalable platform that could bridge the classroom-to-home gap, ensuring continuous, high-quality practice while drastically reducing teacher effort.

Interactive Real-Time Practice Modes

Students can engage with the AI tutor through two highly effective modes: live speaking sessions and chat-based lessons. Utilizing Supabase Realtime and WebSockets, these sessions provide a safe, low-latency environment for practice. The AI offers immediate, context-aware feedback, correcting grammar and vocabulary on the fly to help students build fluency and confidence.

Comprehensive Teacher & Student Dashboards

Both students and teachers benefit from dedicated dashboards. Teachers gain an analytical overview of group activity and individual performance scores, allowing for targeted intervention.
