Building a User-Friendly Valuation Platform

A complex, consulting Excel document has been transformed into a full-fledged asset valuation and deal modeling tool. It tracks the value of each asset, calculates the full pipeline over time, and generates shareable result charts for stakeholders. Our primary design challenge was making the data inputs' structure understandable and user-friendly with a high level of dynamic content for the user. We achieved this by embedding a navigation bar that tracks the progress of each valuation or deal, moving users efficiently through the process and creating links to relevant sections.

Augmenting Calculations & Data Management

The complex, intricate calculations were a major challenge tackled with our custom-coded solution for accuracy and effectiveness. Our robust data modeling was iterated through several versions before we found the optimal format for storing dynamic data in the database. Critical actions were strategically divided between the client and the server side to prevent system collapse with increased user numbers, reducing the load on the platform. Many actions were migrated into Bubble plugins to speed up the loading speeds.

Elevating No Code with Customizations

The journey of developing the platform highlighted the importance and potential of augmenting no code solutions with custom coding. During development, we realized that no code tools alone could not handle some of the complex calculations. By supplementing the product with custom plugins, we were able to optimize functions, speed up processes and enhance the overall user experience. It showed us the effectiveness of combining the best of both worlds - no-code and custom coding - to create advanced, high-performing solutions.
