The new tool runs inside ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or Perplexity and uses a company’s own connected context to produce a practical 12-month AI and software roadmap.
What Is AI Audit?
Idea Link has launched AI Audit, a free strategic technology review tool that helps business owners, founders, and operators identify which AI systems and custom software tools are actually worth building for their company over the next 12 months.
Unlike generic AI readiness checklists or form-based assessments, AI Audit runs directly inside the AI assistant a user already uses, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or Perplexity. Users can copy a single prompt from here and paste it into their preferred assistant to generate a written report within minutes.
What It Identifies
The audit is designed to identify two types of opportunities: autonomous AI systems that can replace meaningful human work, and deterministic custom software such as internal tools, portals, dashboards, and workflow apps that have recently become cheaper and faster to build.
Privacy by Design
Because the audit runs inside the user's own AI environment, it can draw on context already available to that assistant, such as previous chats, memory, connected apps, documents, email, calendar, or other enabled sources. There is no signup, no form, no data upload, no new integration to authorize, and no report to wait for. User data stays inside the user's own AI environment and is not shared with Idea Link.
Why We Built It
“I’ve run this audit hundreds of times in person and on calls,” said Rokas Jurkenas, founder of Idea Link. “Every time, the answer is specific to the company in front of me. I couldn’t scale that by hiring alone, so we encoded the method into a system people can run inside the AI tools they already use.”
The release comes as many companies are still operating with outdated assumptions about the cost and speed of custom software development. Internal tools and workflow systems that may have previously required large budgets and long delivery timelines can now often be built significantly faster using AI-assisted and agentic development methods.
“The list of software worth building has changed,” Jurkenas said. “Projects that did not make financial sense a few years ago may now be obvious investments. Most CEOs have not updated that mental model yet. AI Audit helps them see what is actually worth building now.”
Who It’s For
AI Audit is intended for mid-market companies, agencies, service businesses, operators, and founders who want a practical view of where AI and custom software can create measurable business impact. The output includes named opportunities, rough sizing, and a recommended order of execution.
